Meet Sweet V.

Suite V is the expression of Vanessa's personal and professional philosophy.

A Miami-born, first-generation Colombian-American, Vanessa trained at the Aveda Institute in Florida. After working at Aveda’s South Beach concept salon for two years, she moved to New York in 2008 to work as a stylist throughout Manhattan. Vanessa understands the importance of continued education and prides herself on keeping up with latest in hair trends and techniques.

Since 2014, she has focused on building clientele and community in Brooklyn, a neighborhood she’s proud to call her home.

At the core of Vanessa’s practice are the relationships she has forged with her clients. From editorial inspired up do's to everyday wearable hair, Vanessa works with each client to create a style that caters to their lifestyle. As a native Spanish speaker, she is most comfortable in settings of linguistic diversity, and can do hair in both Spanish and English.

Meet Yenni.

Yen is a proud first-generation New Yorker of Dominican descent.

To expand their natural hair knowledge, Yen trained and worked as a curly hair Stylist and Colorist at The Mona Cut Studio.

Yen is passionate about dismantling the systemic, oppressive beliefs behind hair and empowering folx to embrace and celebrate their natural attributes. They take a holistic approach when working with each client by addressing hair and scalp health, assessing any imbalances that may be present, and leveraging their extensive knowledge of hair types, including: curly, coily, and wavy hair.

Their haircare philosophy is gentle and intuitive, focusing on co-creating looks that embody and represent the client's essence and fit their lifestyle. Rooted in the power of self-expression, they believe that deeply connecting with our identity and our core selves allows us to fully unravel and self-actualize as a radical act of rebellion.
